Call
for Health
The Call for Health Program was created by NCFH for the purpose
of providing continuity of access to care, and filling the
gap in places where there are no Community/Migrant Health
Centers.
The
Call for Health Program is a nationwide, toll-free, bilingual,
health information and referral service program for farmworkers
and their families. Call for Health helps farmworker families
and the health care providers who serve them to find health
services for both adults and children.
Call for Health assists providers, who serve the farmworker
population in accessing health care services through information,
referral resources and financial aid. Call for Health also
provides financial assistance for health care as a last resort
and once all other local resources have been exhausted. This
financial assistance is made possible thanks to the Call for
Health Fund that accepts donations from corporations and individuals
that want to contribute to improving our farmworkers' health
status.
In providing financial assistance, the Call for Health program
will:
- Refer patients to the closest health care provider
- Assist each family with a maximum of $600
per year (as funds are available)
- Negotiate reduced rates with private providers
(sliding fees and Medicaid rates)
The Call for Health Foundation helps farmworkers pay for
services when:
- The farmworker cannot afford to pay
- There is no Migrant Health Center in the
area or it cannot provide services
- There are no other local resources available including
private and public insurance
The Call For Health program will NOT:
- Pay for cosmetic treatment
- Pay for over-the-counter medication
We invite you to join our efforts as a Call for Health provider
or as a donor. If you would like to join the Call for Health
Provider Network, contact Moraima Duran (

Fund, contact Sylvia Partida (
