Executive
Office
E. Roberta ("Bobbi") Ryder (
)
Chief Executive Officer
Bobbi fulfills the corporation's executive functions
under the direction of the NCFH board of directors.
She gives NCFH the benefit of her years of professional
experience and personal involvement with migrant families
through community activities. She is the former Executive
Director of the Migrant and Rural Community Health Association
(MARCHA) in Bangor, Michigan.
Hilda Bogue (
)
Leadership Development Manager
Her primary responsibility is the planning, implementation
and coordination of the NCFH Leadership Development
Program for Migrant Health Centers. Hilda is a registered
nurse, a MATCH fellow, a Certified Health Education
Specialist and holds a master's degree in Community
Health Education from Western Illinois University. Her
experience includes program management, grant writing,
program development, direct patient care, health education,
community needs assessment, outreach, and coordination
of health promoters programs. Before joining NCFH in
August 2001, Hilda worked in various capacities at Community
Health of South Dade, Inc. in Miami, Florida for 8 years.
Andrea Estrada-Boren (
)
Executive Assistant
Andrea joined NCFH in October 2006. As Executive Assistant,
she provides administrative support to the CEO and is
responsible for a variety of special projects and initiatives
of NCFH, as well as NCFH relations with the Board and
constituents. She has over 12 years of experience in
program development, implementation and administration
for non-profit organizations. Prior to joining NCFH,
she was the coordinator of a training program for Special
Education teachers at Texas State University –
San Marcos.
Finance
& Administration
Eric Frank (
)
Finance Manager
Eric has over 20 years experience in planning, reporting,
analyzing and auditing management information systems
for profit and nonprofit organizations. He manages and
directs the accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
functions of NCFH. Eric oversees the annual audit and
fiscal grant management, administers the benefits and
personnel recordkeeping functions, participates in the
overall strategic and operational planning process of
the organization, and manages the offices of NCFH.
Susan Hernandez (
)
Finance and Administration Assistant
Susan joined NCFH in October of 2002 as the Finance
Assistant. She handles A/P, A/R, Payroll and assists
with the
administration of employee benefits and personnel record-keeping.
She has recently taken over the duties of
Office Manager and Reception. Prior to NCFH, she worked
in the Accounting department of a semi-conductor company
where her main duties were handling A/R, Collections,
and assisting the Staff Accountant.
Library
& Information Resources
Ismael Rangel (
)
Director of Information Management
Ismael joined NCFH in May of 2001 bringing with him
an extensive history in human resources as well as database
and technology experiences. He has a Masters in Library
and Information Science from the University of Texas
Library and Information Science School and over 15 years
work experience in human service organizations. He is
currently responsible for maintaining the agency network
and databases as well as generating information mined
from the resources of NCFH.
Program
Services
Sylvia Partida (
)
Chief Operations Officer
Sylvia joined NCFH in January 2000 as the Director of
Program Services. She works with the Program Coordinators
in managing the activities conducted through the Program
Services Department including the Call For Health program,
the Friends of Farmworker Families Fund, a CDC-funded
comprehensive cancer program, and the Texas Oral Health
Initiative. She also oversees development and production
of NCFH educational materials and newsletters, content
and logistics for meetings and conferences. Sylvia has
extensive experience in the development, implementation
and evaluation of community health programs targeting
diverse populations including at-risk adolescents, indigent
populations and migrant farmworkers.
Alicia Gonzales (
)
Leadership Development and Training Center Director
Alicia joined NCFH in January 1997 and is responsible
for the overall management and implementation of a Comprehesive
Cancer Program with a special emphasis on breast and
cervical cancer. She is responsible for the development,
implementation, and evaluation of the program within
migrant health centers. She oversees the development
of educational materials such as a training curriculum
to train Promotoras on cancer education as well as other
patient educational materials to be used to educate
the farmworker community on cancer. She also has expertise
in the development and implementation of lay health
worker programs and conducts training at the local,
state and national levels.
Monica Saavedra-Embesi (
)
Migrant Health Education Coordinator
Monica joined NCFH in September of 1999 as a Certified
Health Education Specialist. Monica is responsible for
health education material development, program development,
health trainings and translation. She is also the editor
of the Farmworker News a newsletter published and distributed
by the National Center for Farmworker Health. In addition,
Monica is the HIV/Program Coordinator. She is responsible
for the coordination of our NCFH, HIV/AIDS project-“Hombres
Preparados” for male M/SFW’s.
Ramona Arredondo (
)
Administrative Assistant
Ramona joined NCFH in March of 2003 as the Administrative
Assistant for the Leadership Development and Training
Center. Her primary role is providing a variety of clerical
and administrative support for the LDTC Director and
on-going programmatic assistance to staff. Her responsibilities
also include coordinating logistics for all workshop/trainings
provided by the center.
Moraima Duran (
)
Call for Health Assistant
Moraima joined NCFH in August 2001. Her primary role
is to maintain the Call for Health information and referral
toll free line (nationwide) and assist the bilingual/bicultural
farmworker population in increasing access to health
care. Prior to joining NCFH, Moraima worked for 8 years
with the Hays School District as principal's secretary.
Josh Shepherd (
)
Resource Center Manager
Josh joined NCFH in October of 2001 and he is responsible
for day-to-day management of the NCFH Library and Resource
Center. He suprevisies the cataloguing and dissemination
of materials from the Library and Resource Center, as
well as responding to requests for information and conducting
research for NCFH staff and our constituents with migrant
health specific problems.
