 Digital Stories

NCFH has developed a collection of bilingual digital stories narrated in Spanish with English subtitles. These digital stories were created by NCFH staff, community health workers, and volunteers. They address various health topics and information on accessing health care services at Community/Migrant Health Centers. These great health education resources are available free-of-charge and can be used by outreach staff, health educators, or for viewing at health centers.  ​

Ag Worker Identification
  • This digital story is designed to help Health Centers identify Ag Workers for identification and registration purposes. It is perfect for playing in waiting rooms and is a great educational resource for community outreach and other health care professionals. This digital story is also an excellent staff training tool.

  • ​This digital story, narrated in Spanish with English subtitles, educates the viewers about Colorectal Cancer Screening, the types of tests, the guidelines and the importance of getting the screening done according to guidelines to prevent/ early detect colorectal cancer.  The story follows Maria, a 52-year-old woman who is advised by her doctor to take a Colorectal Cancer Screening test during a routine health visit. ​

In the story, we follow Roberto, a 46-year-old man, who shares his account of managing his high blood pressure, the challenges he faces, and tips on how to succeed. This digital story can be used as a companion tool to the printer-friendly brief.

La Prueba Pap / The Pap Test 
  • This digital story educates the viewers about the Pap test and the benefits of having it done. It helps the viewer understand what happens during a Pap test and addresses some of the barriers that exist among the target population regarding this exam. The story also provides information about the cervical cancer screening guidelines and the options available for getting and paying for the Pap test.
