It helps the viewer understand what happens during a Pap test and addresses some of the barriers that exist among the target population regarding this exam. ​Female Health

Cultivando la Salud
NCFH is proud to offer one of our premiere health education programs, Cultivando la Salud. Cultivando la Salud is an evidence-based program that has been proven effective in increasing mammography, clinical breast exam, and Pap test screening rates among farmworker women nationwide. This breast cancer education program was developed specifically for farmworker women 50 years and older and centers on the community health worker model, but Cultivando la Salud has also been utilized with other Hispanic communities nationwide and with women 40 years of age and older. Its overall goal is to reach farmworker women (and other Hispanic women) with culturally appropriate breast and cervical cancer screening messages and encourage them to get screened.

Health Tip's is a bilingual, quarterly publication that focuses on health topics and issues prominent to the farmworker and the general Hispanic population. It makes use of low-literacy and culturally appropriate terminology to present the latest, most updated information on health topics. This issue talks about the importance of eye safety while working and what types of eye protection are appropriate for the type of work being done.

FRESCO: Farmworkers Reducing Exposure to Sun and Cooling Off 
The FRESCO Program aims to provide community health workers with the skills and knowledge to effectively use the FRESCO  materials to encourage farmworkers to make simple, practical, and lasting changes to protect themselves from heat and sun while they work in the field. This kit includes lesson plans, a curriculum and a flipchart that are available for purchase.
