FARMWORKER HEALTH NETWORK
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is committed to increasing access of farmworkers and their families to quality health care, while reducing disparities in their health status. Community & Migrant Health Centers work to achieve this goal by providing high-quality, equitable care to farmworker families across the country. The Farmworker Health Network works cooperatively with HRSA to provide training and technical assistance to over 1,100 Community & Migrant Health Centers throughout the U.S.
The Farmworker Health Network (FHN) is comprised of six National Cooperative Agreements in agricultural worker health funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to provide training and technical assistance to current and potential Health Centers. These organizations include Health Outreach Partners, National Association of Community Health Centers, Farmworker Justice, Migrant Clinicians Network, MHP Salud, and the National Center for Farmworker Health. Each organization specializes in areas of focus such as clinical support, outreach services, policy analysis and program development.
The FHN regularly meet and collaborate to develop resources that share promising practices and tools for health centers and other farmworker serving organizations that provide services to the farmworker population. Below are some resources from the FHN developed through collaborative activities:
