Farm Labor Population Estimates & Reports
The National Center for Farmworker Health developed a standardized methodology in collaboration with Dr. Susan Gabbard of JBS International for estimating the number of crop production and animal production workers in any county in the U.S. using the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Census of Agriculture. These estimates help public health authorities plan for public health services for farmworkers. Find our estimates of crop and animal production workers by county here. For a further understanding of a community’s farmworker population, NCFH conducts a thorough process of expert interviews and data analysis to produce in-depth reports and/or data dashboards on request. If you are interested in additional information or would like to learn more about how NCFH can provide consultation services about farm labor estimates in your community, please contact Sarah Prager.

National Farm Labor Data Dashboard
The Farm Labor Data Dashboard was developed by NCFH to centralize nationally available data related to farmworkers in the U.S. The dashboard is an interactive, web-based tool that integrates data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and others to gain an understanding of the national landscape of farm labor.

National Farmworker Survey on COVID-19
NCFH is partnering with JBS International and community-based organizations across the country to administer a national survey to farmworkers about their experiences during COVID-19. These data will illuminate workers’ experiences during the pandemic, including their ability to access to care and preventative measures, their confidence about the COVID-19 vaccine, and more.

The Farmworker COVID-19 Community Assessments (FCCAs) are now live! Click here to visit our information page and read the reports.

Farm Labor Mobility Pathways Map
Coming Soon!
In 2021 – 2022, NCFH will work with partner organizations to map international and domestic mobility patterns of farmworker communities. The map will provide public health and outreach teams with crucial information in order to develop and implement culturally and linguistically accessible programming and services.

National Pulse
The National Pulse is a monthly publication that shares significant network insights, current media stories, and research about issues and trends concerning COVID-19, influenza, and other emerging infectious diseases among farmworkers in the U.S. Each edition includes 1) findings from a national poll of farmworker-serving organizations, 2) insights from recent data collection efforts with farmworkers, and 3) a summary of recent research and media articles published.
