Centering Community Voices in Data: Lessons from the Project Protect Preventative Healthcare Survey

Join the National Center for Farmworker Health (NCFH) and Project Protect for a webinar on strengthening organizational capacity for community-engaged data collection and assessment, featuring strategies from Project Protect’s experience working with Colorado’s agricultural communities through their community-led Promotora Network. Learn how Project Protect builds trust, develops tools, and collects community-verified data from farmworkers, along with key insights from their recent preventive healthcare survey. 

Session Objectives: 

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to: 

  1. Describe key components of a community-driven approach to data collection in farmworker populations, including the role of Promotoras. 
  2. Understand strategies to build organizational capacity for engaging communities in participatory data and assessment initiatives.  
  3.  Discuss how community-validated data can be used to shape health equity interventions, inform policy, and enhance service delivery in rural and agricultural settings.
