Protecting Agricultural Workers from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): The Impact of Working in Extreme Heat

This national webinar will provide an overview of chronic kidney disease (CKD), explain why Migratory and Seasonal Agricultural Workers (MSAWs) may be at higher risk for this disease and the potential impact it has on their health. Participants will gain valuable insights into best practices and strategies for educating MSAWs in their communities on protecting their kidney health and will be introduced to NCFH’s new patient tool, “Protect Your Kidneys While Working in the Heat,” to support outreach and education efforts.

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will:

  1. Understand Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and why Migratory and Seasonal Agricultural Workers (MSAWs) may be at higher risk for developing this condition.
  2. Learn how to recognize the early signs and symptoms of CKD to ensure timely intervention and support for MSAWs.
  3. Learn effective best practices and strategies to help educate MSAWs about protecting their kidney health.
