Rachel works at the intersection of public health and migration. She is the Evaluation Manager at the National Center for Farmworker Health, where her work centers on ensuring that interventions reaching farmworkers and other vulnerable populations are equitable, evidence based, and effective.
Rachel holds a master’s in public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a BA from the University of Kansas. Prior to NCFH, she worked as a fellow with the CDC Mexico Country office to identify health needs and improve health access for migrants in transit through Mexico and address binational public health risks. Her other experience includes designing and implementing programs serving immigrant populations, conducting data and policy analysis for immigrant serving organizations, and responding to reports of potential human trafficking on the National Human Trafficking hotline. Rachel’s passion and expertise lie in centering the experiences and input of affected populations, establishing data systems that more accurately reflect realities on the ground and bridging the gaps between government and grassroots organizations.
