Yvette Salinas is responsible for the oversight of NCFH farmworker partner network activities, supports the development and implementation of outreach strategies and workforce capacity building to advance health equity among farmworker, as well as refugee, immigrant and migrant populations to improve public health systems and infrastructure.
Prior to joining NCFH, Yvette has supported farmworkers and immigrant communities through organizing, outreach, and education. She has led campaigns to improve public infrastructure in colonias, collaborated with farmworker advocacy groups to identify signs of labor trafficking within the agricultural industry across Texas and has helped low-wage workers recover unpaid wages. Yvette received her Master’ in Communication with a focus in Training and Consulting from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
