Guided by the theme, From Field to Community: Food, Environment, and the Health of Agricultural Workers, the Symposium will explore how agricultural work, food systems, and environmental conditions affect health outcomes, and how health centers and partners can respond through effective programs and service delivery.

What makes the NCFH Agricultural Worker Health Symposia unique?

NCFH bases these Symposia events on three foundational pillars: 1) In Depth Learning; 2) Community and Connectedness; and 3) Leadership Development. These pillars encompass critical elements such as providing a deeper dive into MSAW health-specific topics, intentional opportunities for stories from the field, sharing of challenges, promising practices and strategies, and a space for multi-disciplinary collaboration, discussion, and planning for deliberate, focused application to service delivery practices, as well as a unified voice to share perspectives on priority topics.

What is the goal of these events?

In alignment with NCFH’s mission, our goal for these training events is to improve the health of MSAW families by providing the best possible workforce development training to strengthen the ability of health centers and other organizations to serve them. We know that to continue building upon the work of our colleagues across the U.S., we must foster the development of health leaders that will continue the charge of increasing access to quality health care services for MSAW families.

Who is NCFH partnering with?

NCFH is looking forward to working with our partners at Primary Care Associations, the Farmworker Health Network, health centers, and other MSAW-serving organizations nationwide as we continue moving forward with this endeavor!
