With funding from the HHS Bureau of Health Care Delivery and Assistance, Migrant Health Program, NCFH partnered with the Migrant Clinicians Network and Dr. G.E. Alan Dever of Mercer University to conduct the first national study on morbidity in the farmworker population. The resulting report, Migrant Health Status: Profile of a Population With Complex Health Problems, provided compelling evidence that migrant farmworkers face significantly poorer health outcomes than the general population and highlighted the distinct health challenges they experience.
