NCFH introduced its first Community Health Worker Breast and Cervical Cancer Traveling Lay Health Advisory Program, Cultivando la Salud. This evidence-based program is proven to increase rates of mammography, clinical breast exams, and Pap tests among farmworker women. Originally developed for women aged 50 and older, the program centers on the community health worker model and has since been successfully adapted for broader Hispanic communities and for women aged 40 and above nationwide.
