In December 2023, NCFH partnered with the University of California Davis Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) and the Pesticide Educational Resources Collaborative (PERC) to launch the project, “Increasing Pesticide Safety Knowledge Among Indigenous Farmworkers on the Texas-Mexico Border Through Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Approaches.” This initiative aims to reduce pesticide exposure risks for Mesoamerican Indigenous farmworkers in the Rio Grande Valley by providing partners with translated educational videos and best practice training materials to promote safer pesticide handling within their communities.
